Overdraft Protection

Whether you have an unexpected expense or need to cover an error in your checkbook, our overdraft protection options will be there to keep you going. Choose from one of the following ways to protect against overdrafts.

Depository Transfer

Transfers from a pre-determined depository account will be activated when your checking account is overdrawn. Transfers are made in multiples of $100 with a small transaction fee. Transfers are limited to six per statement cycle.

Line of Credit

Overdraft lines are available in amounts of $500 to $10,000. The overdraft line is activated when your checking account is overdrawn. Loans are dispensed in multiples of $100 with a small transaction fee and carry a fixed rate until repaid. Payment is automatically deducted from your Bank of Ann Arbor checking account on the first day of your statement cycle.

Important information
The following types of accounts are available for Depository Transfer advances.

  • Statement Savings
  • Money Market Savings
  • Personal Checking

Transfers from these accounts will occur in $100.00 increments and your account will be charged a $6.00 fee for each transfer. Transfers are limited to 6 per statement cycle. Automatic transfers are detailed on monthly statements.

An overdraft Line of Credit has both an interest rate and a transaction fee when activated. The transaction fee is $12.00 for each day that a transfer from the Line of Credit occurs and the interest rate is 15% on outstanding balances. Transfers from the line are made in increments of $100 as well.
